Melanie Sengupta’s practice focuses on all aspects of land use entitlement and CEQA compliance, including strategizing, negotiating, and litigating approvals.  She takes a holistic approach to entitlement, advising clients on how to build community support and develop a good record in the event of legal challenge.

 

Melanie has assisted Fortune 500 companies, renewable energy companies, developers, and public agencies develop infill projects, telecommunications facilities, utility-scale solar and wind power farms, multifamily housing, commercial development, and many other uses.  Additionally, she litigates land use matters through all levels of state and federal court.

 

Melanie received her B.S. in Environmental Biology & Management, B.A. in International Relations, and J.D., all from the University of California, Davis.
